Welcome to PractiCORR 2027
PractiCORR is an international meeting dedicated to the practical aspects of corrosion control, protective coatings, inspection and passive fire protection. Building on the experience and professional relationships created during PractiCORR 2025, the 2027 edition will provide an even stronger platform for sharing field experience, discussing failures and lessons learned, presenting new technologies and developing cooperation between industry and science.
The programme will combine application-focused technical sessions, case studies, panel discussions, workshops, an industry exhibition and structured networking. The emphasis is not only on what a technology can do, but also on how it performs under real project, operational, environmental and economic constraints.
The conference is organised by the Polish Corrosion Society in cooperation with European and international partners.
Protecting assets in a changing world
Infrastructure and industrial assets are expected to operate longer, under more demanding conditions and with greater pressure to reduce environmental impact and life-cycle cost. At the same time, the energy transition, offshore development, hydrogen technologies, energy storage, nuclear projects, digital inspection and defence resilience are creating new corrosion and fire-protection challenges.
The conference is developed by practitioners for practitioners. Scientific quality remains important, but every session is designed to answer a practical question: What worked? What failed? Why did it fail? How was the problem diagnosed? Which repair or protection strategy was selected? What can others learn from the project?
PractiCORR 2027 will connect asset owners, engineering companies, contractors, inspectors, coating and raw-material manufacturers, equipment suppliers, laboratories, universities, certification bodies and public institutions. This broad participation makes it possible to discuss protection systems across their complete life cycle — from conscious design and specification to application, inspection, maintenance, repair and end-of-life decisions.
The event will include plenary lectures, technical sessions, industrial case studies, workshops, discussion panels, poster presentations, an exhibition and structured networking.
