Prof. DSc. Eng. Adam Wysokowski
Professor Adam Wysokowski has been affiliated with the University of Zielona Góra for over 20 years. The professor's scientific and technical work, conducted as part of several dozen European and national grants, has found practical application in engineering. These achievements include innovative solutions such as highly modified expansion joints and bridge deck insulation, rubber-modified asphalt pavements, the use of post-production steel and copper aggregates, methods for assessing the load-bearing capacity and durability of existing bridges, evaluation of corrosion phenomena in steel bridges, anti-corrosion systems for steel structures, flexible culvert and eco-bridge constructions, and drainage systems for transportation infrastructure, including innovative trenchless technologies.
He also has extensive management experience as a long-time coordinator of the Bridge Management System. Professor Wysokowski’s practical expertise serves as a foundation for his teaching activities, inspiring and educating future generations of engineers.
As a long-standing expert for the European Union on surface transportation under the Horizon 2020 program (and currently Horizon Europe), as well as for the National Centre for Research and Development and the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, Professor Wysokowski plays a significant role in shaping policies and standards for road infrastructure in both Europe and Poland.
He is an active member of numerous national and international scientific and technical organizations, including ZMRP, PZiTB, PSTB, and PSK in Poland, as well as IABSE, ASCE, SEI, and DEI internationally. He has published over 500 bibliographic items, including more than 17 monographs, 24 chapters in monographs, 249 articles, and 127 conference papers. Additionally, he has authored over 300 opinions, expert reports, and other professional studies in the field of civil engineering.
He has been the recipient of many awards for his scientific, organizational, and teaching contributions, including the 2024 Minister of Science Award for significant achievements in research activities.
Through his work and dedication, Professor Wysokowski supports the development of road and rail infrastructure on both national and international levels, contributing to advancements in the field of transportation engineering.

Associate Prof. Dr. Tomáš Prošek
Tomáš Prošek graduated from the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague in 1996. From 2001 until 2015, he worked at RI.SE in Stockholm, Sweden, and at the Institut de la Corrosion in Brest, France. He was responsible for construction, building, and infrastructure activities with a focus on atmospheric corrosion of galvanized and coil-coated steel materials. Since 2016, he has been leading the Department of Metallic Construction Materials at Technopark Kralupy of the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague.
His research focusses on corrosion protection by metallic and organic coatings, atmospheric environmentally assisted cracking, interactions of hydrogen and metals, outdoor and accelerated corrosion testing, and corrosion monitoring.
In addition to teaching and research activities, Tomáš Prošek is the president of the Association of Czech and Slovak Corrosion Engineers (AKI) and the European Federation of Corrosion (EFC). He serves as a member of the Board of Administrators (BoA) and the Science and Technology Advisory Committee (STAC) of EFC.
He was awarded by the Prize of the Polish Corrosion Society in 2018, Edward C. Greco Award of the International Corrosion Council for leadership in organization and conduct of the 20th International Corrosion Congress in 2017, EFC Kurt Schwabe Prize to young scientists in recognition of the scientific and technical contribution to the field of corrosion in 2006 and the Czech Business Council for Sustainable Development Award in 1996.

Dr Eng. Łukasz Radosiński (Polish Corrosion Society)
Łukasz Radosiński graduated from Wrocław University of Science and Technology, where he obtained his M.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Solid State Physics. He completed his Ph.D. thesis at the Graduate University of Advanced Studies in Hayama and the High Energy Accelerator Laboratory (KEK) in Tsukuba, specializing in Accelerator Physics. He worked as a Research Assistant at KEK and the National Institute for Fusion Science in Toki, Japan.
Since 2009, he has been a lecturer at the Chemistry Department at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. He also serves as the CTO at M+M Inwestyn, where he is responsible for the development and implementation of fire-retardant products.
His research focuses on materials engineering and the application of numerical methods, such as Molecular Dynamics, Density Functional Theory, and Computational Fluid Dynamics, to create functional materials for a wide range of engineering applications.
In addition, Łukasz Radosiński is an expert for the Polish National Research and Development Centre and the Polish Agency for Industrial Development. He is also a member of the board of the Polish Corrosion Society.

Dr. Michael Hilt MBA (Research Society for Pigments and Coatings (FPL e.V.)
Dr Michael Hilt MBA started his professional education studying polymer chemistry in Stuttgart, Germany. For his Diploma thesis and for his Doctoral thesis he worked at the FPL (Research Institute for Pigments and Coatings) in Stuttgart between 1984 and early 1988.
In 1988 he entered Daimler-Benz AG as a paint and corrosion protection specialist and worked there for more than 21 years in different areas of surface protection.
In May 2009 he went back to FPL and was appointed General Manager of FPL.
Dr Hilt is Director “Surfaces and Materials” in Fraunhofer IPA and Deputy Director of IPA as well as General Manager of the Research Society for Pigments and Coatings, Stuttgart, FPL. He is also responsibly active in international non-profit organisations of his working area, e.g. FATIPEC.

Prof. Juliusz Winiarski
Juliusz Winiarski, PhD, completed his master's degree in materials engineering at the Wrocław University of Technology in 2008. He defended his dissertation on obtaining chrome-free conversion coatings on zinc and its alloys in 2012. He is currently the head of the Surface Technology Group in the Department of Advanced Materials Technology at Wrocław University of Technology. He teaches graduate and doctoral students in the field of obtaining electroplated coatings, anodizing, electropolishing, obtaining electrocatalytically active materials, coating research and corrosion of structural materials. From 2020 to 2025, he was the supervisor of two implementation doctorates devoted to the processes of producing conversion coatings on aluminum casting alloys and on zinc and zinc alloy coatings. In addition to his scientific activities, he cooperates with a number of companies in solving corrosion problems, researching corrosion damage, its causes and consequences, studying the properties and defects of electroplating coatings, and others.
